01 Why Murata?

My childhood passion for electric gadgets leads my career path to Murata. I was particularly interested in TVs and wished to join a manufacturing company, so I majored in electrical and electronic engineering at university. My experience studying abroad also fueled my desire to develop overseas business.

When I started my job search as an undergraduate, I focused on 'upstream' global manufacturing companies as well as future expatriate career opportunities. While contemplating which company to apply to, I discovered a key ring featuring "Murata Boy" in my lab drawer which sparked my career interest in Murata.

Upon researching Murata, I discovered that their sales had grown significantly recently and that their overseas sales ratio exceeded 90%. There were also many opportunities for expatriate positions, and upon learning that Murata's main products are capacitors and coils, which I used to use in circuit calculations, I became even more interested.

After receiving Murata's job offer, I felt somewhat apprehensive about immediately accepting it. Murata's HR team kindly arranged an additional interview with an overseas expatriate to support my final decision-making. Although the interview did not happen due to the expatriate's last-minute sudden work call, I still felt connected and supported in joining the Murata team.

02 Your Career

Murata has very high expectation for India's fast growing mobility and smart phone markets.I was transferred as a sales represenative to increase Murata's awareness and business in India in 2019. Our team's responsibilities are very broad, including the latest market and demand analysis, and strengthening relationships with local partners. We formulate future business development proposals by reviewing India's latest national policies and European legislation.

We also collaborate with Japan's product divisions and Murata's overseas sales teams to make joint global promotions. We work closely with local public organizations, local distribution partners, and start-up companies to explore potential new business opportunities. Furthermore, we support demonstration experiments for future technologies.

03 Vision for the Future

My goal is to identify potential new demand to create innovative products and solutions from scratch for Murata's product development team. I aim to establish a new recurring business model which goes beyond one-time sell product and solution offerings. Additionally, I wish to contribute to enhancing Murata's value proposition leveraging my knowledge and experience as a global business professional.

I have a wide network of contacts in India's mobility organizations, start-ups, healthcare companies, and service providers. I aspire to contribute to Murata's business development with speed and dynamism. Moreover, I seek personal growth by listening humbly and flexibly incorporating feedback from those around me.

Murata for you

What do you think about Murata?

Before joining Murata as a university student, I simply thought that a global company means having factories and sales offices overseas. After joining Murata, I fully experience and appreciate the excitement as well as the challenges of global business every day.
At Murata, we communicate with overseas customers, partners, and Murata's global team every day, so we learn the scope of influence as well as the responsibility very quickly. I often work with team members who were recruited from universities in India. I believe our good rapport stems from my stationing in India, which has allowed me to receive considerable support. I am known as someone who enjoys chai.

Global business is very fast paced with competition and Japanese standard approach may not always be appropriate. Murata, as a global component company, values long-term vison and strategy with speed. I believe Murata also provides various environment and opportunities to foster personal growth.

In a nutshell, your innovation challenges are always welcome. I had 5 bosses so far, and they all supported my creative proposals and encouraged me during the process. I believe this supportive environment and company culture is what makes Murata great.

Personal Life

I really enjoy exploring India and visited 40% of the wide nation so far. I always have strong interests in foreign countries, and when I was at university, I took a year off to study languages in 4 different countries. Every Sunday, I play soccer in a local amateur league with a team made up of Indian, African, and Japanese players, age ranging from 16 to 59. When I'm really focused, I find it really fascinating that I can somewhat understand what India team are saying even though they speak in their own India languages.
