02 Your Career
In 2011, I joined Murata Electronics Singapore, starting with the ASEAN Capacitor Business Planning. My role was to focus on developing local pricing strategies to align with the product division's business goals. By leveraging customer insights for decision-making and working alongside our sales team, we enhanced our customer relationships to grow our capacitor business.
As my career progressed, my responsibilities expanded to include managing global customers business. This role allowed me to collaborate closely with colleagues in Japan and various global sales teams. On a periodic basis, I visited customers for negotiation and business review meetings. Through this experience, I gained valuable knowledge in product and market strategy and have always taken pride in Murata's leadership in producing high-quality capacitors.
In 2020, I transitioned to the Regional Sales Planning, shifting my focus from being product-oriented to planning on a regional basis for ASEAN and India. This role enabled me to engage closely with cross-functional teams, including regional management, deepening my understanding of marketing and sales policy while providing opportunities to develop future-oriented planning skills. During this period, I developed a greater appreciation for Murata's vision and values.
Since 2023, I was transferred to join the Corporate Planning team at Japan Headquarters. Engaging in company-wide strategic-level planning with a talented and diverse team has reinforced my dedication to making meaningful contributions. Here, I have observed Murata's innovative approach to industry challenges and its commitment to progress—an approach that aligns strongly with Murata's Vision 2030, for Murata will innovate to create a virtuous cycle of social and economic value and contribute to the enrichment of society. Furthermore, I aim to bring positive influence back to our local ASEAN and India regions.
